During this first meeting a lot of administrative things were discussed and the logo of the project made by Wedabigid from Fryslân was presented.  Furthermore the partners learned about their language situations and about the possibilities, talents and opportunities each partner has to make this project a success.

The next transnational meeting will be in Pisa in January and the first training sessions will be held at the first week of February in Valencia.

In the meantime the partners will work on the input for the training sessions, the website and the mooc. Next to that they will work in their own regions to advertise the training sessions and workshops and what language assertiveness means and can do for minoritized languages.

LISTEN is funded by Erasmus+ and is all about language assertiveness.

Assertiveness is the quality of being self-assured and confident without being aggressive. It is a learnable skill and mode of communication. When applied to languages, it implies training people to express themselves in their own language whilst feeling calm and self-assured, also when they don’t know for sure if their counterparts are speakers of the same language.
